EU AI Act
The EU AI Act is the EU's risk-based AI regulation, applying in phases (prohibited practices and AI-literacy duties since early 2025; general-purpose-AI obligations since August 2025; high-risk rules later, with the timeline being adjusted via the Digital Omnibus). Self-hosting an AI tool generally makes you a deployer with its own duties. It does not make you exempt.
